Injection molding means "forcing molten plastic into a metal cavity under high pressure, then ejecting the cooled part." The animation below runs the full cycle — melt, clamp, inject, cool, eject — and shows why injection tooling is expensive but unit cost drops at volume.
Pellets drop from the hopper into the barrel, where the screw conveys and the heater bands melt them into a uniform melt. Drying and stable temperature directly affect the part.
The mold halves clamp shut, the screw drives forward, and high pressure fills the whole cavity. Pressure and speed must be right to avoid short shots or flash.
After filling, holding pressure continues while the part cools and sets. This is the longest phase; wall uniformity and cooling rate decide sink and warpage.
The mold opens, ejector pins push the part out, the cycle ends and the next begins. At volume, tooling amortizes and unit cost comes down.
From PS / HIPS material feeding, 240°C screw plasticizing, 2-plate mold injection, through cooling and conveying — every step is performed in-house at our own factory. Every batch is traceable through production records, fully compliant with our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
Every plastic injection OEM project goes through five key stages from order to delivery. We emphasize mutual value creation and long-term partnership with every customer.
Customer provides 2D / 3D drawings or samples; we conduct a Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluation, initial quote, and lead time estimate.
After spec confirmation, we enter mold development — steel or aluminum mold chosen per product requirements. Samples sent for confirmation once mold is complete.
After the first injection, a trial sample is sent to the customer to confirm dimensions, appearance, and fit. Mold adjustments and optimization are made as needed.
Once the sample is approved, we move into mass production — controlling costs, reducing defect rates, and maintaining high quality. Multi-batch shipping can be arranged as needed.
After quality inspection and packaging, goods are shipped. We support customer export shipping requirements — on-time delivery is Guann-Ming's commitment.
